200 Pounds Beauty (미녀는
괴로워) is a 2006 South Korean comedy. The story tells the tale
about a large girl that undergoes an extreme makeover to become a pop
singer.
Hanna is a lip sync vocalist for Ami, the famous Korean pop singer.
Even though she is always ignored because of her appearance, she has
been a bright and lighthearted girl until Amy humiliates her in front
of Sang-jun, her secret love. At last she makes a decision of a
lifetime to have plastic surgery all over her body. Her unrequited love
gets any return?
The title song in the movie is a cover of the Blondie song "Maria." The
Korean modern rock band Loveholic also appears on the 200 Pounds Beauty
Soundtrack.
